Welcome to Rotorua Climbing Club Website

The Rotorua Climbing Club promotes rock climbing, both indoor and outdoor, in Rotorua and surrounding areas. The club also provides support and training to competition rock climbers in the area.  Member regularly compete in climbing competitions at a Regional and National level, and current members include past and present National and Oceania Champions.  The Rotorua Climbing Club is affiliated to Climbing NZ, the national sports organisation for rock climbing in New Zealand.

Outdoor Climbing at K2 crag Kinloch this weekend

Martyn is taking a trip to the K2 crag, Kinloch on shore of Lake Taupo this Saturday 5th June 2010, weather permitting.

The K2 crag is a 30 min walk from the car, so bring some walking shoes as well as your climbing gear.

Two New Zealand Reps for Rotorua Climbing Club

Congratulations to Alex Jones and Tayla Atkin who have been selected for the New Zealand Junior Team named on 29 April.  Alex and Tayla will compete at the World Youth Championships to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland during September.

2010 National Cup Series comes to Rotorua

The Rotorua Climbing Club, in conjuction with The Wall, will be hosting the Second Round of the Climbing NZ 2010 National Cup Series over the weekend of 22/23 May. 

All grades from Youth D (Under 12) up to Open, and Masters (Over 35) will be competing.
